Mother of Three Had Sex With Daughter's Teen Boyfriend

Mayra Gonzalez, 33-year-old mother of three from Santa Ana, California, has pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a teenage boy and was ordered to register as a sex offender for life.

During the sexual relationship between adult woman and the boy, the teen was dating Gonzalez's daughter. Gonzalez was also sentenced to a year in jail. But with credit for 440 days already served, she is expected to be released soon.

Mayra Gonzalez was charged with six felony counts of unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor under 16 and two felony counts of oral copulation with a minor under 18. pleaded guilty to one felony count each of oral copulation of a minor and unlawful sex with a minor. Six other felony counts were dismissed as part of the plea bargain. Gonzalez allegedly developed a relationship with the teen that resulted in six sexual encounters between July 1 and Dec. 24, 2011. If convicted on all charges, it could have land Gonzalez in state prison for seven years and eight months.

Gonzalez told police she loved the boy but knew their trysts were wrong. When Gonzalez was arrested in May, Santa Ana police said she had recently given birth and investigators suspect the teenage victim fathered the child.

Neighbors noticed that Mayra Gonzalez, 32, of Santa Ana seemed to be spending a lot of time at the home of her oldest daughter's boyfriend while his parents were away. One of them confronted the boy, who told them what was going on. A neighbor reported what was going on to police.
